Everywhere At Once

a poem

image

I once imagined speaking a word

That carried on forever

It did not fade or echo

Silence overcame it never

It traveled across the universe

To every ear in reach

Looking for the listeners

To whom the word could teach

In a future space and Earth

My word rings true and clear

It's heard then everywhere at once

By all who care to hear

It travels on the dawn of quarks

The tips of angel wings

The subtle integration of

Machine and natural things

And others now, they speak as well

The din begins to deafen

Eternal words, the sum is heard

And only quiet in heaven
