How I Built a Free ATS Resume Scanner (and Why Most Resumes Fail)

After watching countless job seekers get rejected without ever reaching a human, I built a free tool to help.

The Problem: 75% of Resumes Never Reach a Human

Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) automatically reject resumes that don't match keywords. Here's what I found:

1. Missing keywords: ATS matches exact terms from job descriptions. If the posting says 'Project Management' and your resume says 'PM', it might not match.

2. Wrong formatting: Tables, columns, text boxes, headers/footers - all break ATS parsing.

3. Wrong file format: Some ATS systems handle PDFs poorly. .docx is safer.
