I was thinking about the effectiveness of social marketing leads to the realization that it is not a particularly enjoyable activity for most people. Unless one finds themselves socially deprived, with no life beyond their digital existence, engaging in social marketing may not be the ideal endeavor.
Agreed or not, there is a greater probability that the mature population on Facebook is more inclined to make purchases on their favorite social media platform compared to any other group. Compared to the platforms like Gettr, Reddit, Gab, Twitter, or Mastodon do not primarily serve as spaces for purchasing goods, but rather as communities populated by young individuals whose buying power is still developing.
When it comes to newer platforms, including the recently rebranded Twitter, I doubt the maturity of their user bases and the depth of engagement they offer. I advise marketers and sellers to exercise caution and limit their focus to platforms that have proven value and a dedicated user community. Until these emerging platforms demonstrate clear benefits and establish a significant user base, they may not be the most fruitful targets for marketing efforts.
