My BCHNostr Contributions and Beyond

This article will give you a glimpse of who I am as a BCHNostrian.

Seventeen days ago, I decided to reopen this platform after

ghosting it right after creating my account. Since then, I've been trying to

stay as active as possible by consistently posting original content, making

genuine connections, participating in various activities, and building trust

within the platform.

Looking back after just 17 days, I'd say I've already made

quite a few contributions here. So today, I want to share some of them in the

hope that they'll inspire you to make your own contributions, too.

Referrals

At the time of writing, I have a total of 10 invites, one of

whom is my nephew. I honestly don't know who the other nine are, but I'm pretty

sure one of them is also a good friend of mine.

Because of this, I'm currently ranked in the Top 10 and

earned the BCH Nostr Ambassador badge. What an amazing journey it's been!

That said, I wouldn't call it a complete success since 90%

of them became inactive.

Feature Requests

My contributions didn't stop there. I'm also active in

helping improve the platform by submitting feature requests whenever something

caught my attention.

First off, we have the...

Custom Tipping

As someone who manages my own community, I use the tipping

feature ALL THE TIIIIMMMEEE to reward members whenever they submit an entry. So, when

I noticed that custom tipping wasn't available, I couldn't help but suggest it.

Now I don't have to send multiple tips just to reach a

certain amount. It saves me a lot of time and makes the whole process much more

convenient.

Community Spaces

One of my favorite suggestions was for the Community Spaces.

At the time, I thought it would be much better if BCH Reply

Guy added separate tabs like Favorites, Active, and Inactive.

I felt this would make Community Spaces more organized, user-friendly, and

efficient, especially as the number of communities continues to grow.

Thankfully, he made it happen. Now I can easily focus on the

communities I visit most often.

Activities

We all love joining the activities here. Aside from the

chance to win cool prizes, they're also a great way to meet new people and

build connections. The problem was that with so many activities happening at

once, it became difficult to keep track of everything.

My first idea was actually to create another community where

every Community Host could promote their activities. But I knew I wasn't the

right person to make that happen. Besides, only a few people even knew I

existed here at the time. 😅

So instead, I submitted a feature request.

When I first saw the Activities page, I thought, "This

is it!" Unfortunately, when I opened it, it looked almost identical to the

Crowdfunding page. So, I submitted another suggestion, hoping to better explain the vision I had in mind.

As you can see, my suggestion still isn't marked as Addressed.

However, another user submitted a similar request. The main difference was that

I suggested adding a Promote Activity button, while she suggested simply

labeling these posts as Activity.

Honestly, I'm glad BCH Reply Guy decided to implement hers

instead of mine. At least her solution was free. 😂

BCH Radio

I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only one concerned about not

being able to delete an uploaded song.

When I uploaded a song I created the night before, it was an

epic fail. There was no music at all! I was so embarrassed that I immediately looked for a delete

or edit button only to realize there wasn't one.

So I went straight to the suggestion box and reported the

issue.

About an hour later, BCH Reply Guy liked my post, and that's when I knew

the feature had already been implemented.

Other Suggestions

I still have a few feature requests that haven't been

addressed yet, but I know he's a busy guy and can't do everything at once.

Hopefully, when he has more time, he'll consider the rest of

our suggestions.

This one right here is tagged as "Addressed", but I'm not sure if it has already been implemented.

Crowdfunding

Lastly, there's my campaign: MOVE. EAT. LIVE. EARN BCH.

A huge thank you to @Prime Architect for funding my

proposal.

The community has now grown to 84 members, and so far I've

distributed more than $27 in BCH through various activities.

I still have enough funds left in my wallet, and my goal is

to keep organizing fun and rewarding activities until we run out of budget.

Who knows? Maybe I'll submit another crowdfunding proposal

for the community in the future.

Would you support me if I did?

So yeah, those have been my contributions so far, and I'm

looking forward to contributing even more in the future. 💚
