This account used to carry a manifesto about a better world: no inequality, no crises, basic needs guaranteed, a DAO where every citizen has a voice and a universal income just for being alive.
I deleted it. Not because the anger behind it was wrong — the world is riddled with systems that extract from you and answer to no one. I deleted it because the plan was wrong. It asked you to join something and wait. A DAO, a movement, a new system that would, once enough of us believed in it, redistribute its way to abundance.
Nobody grants you sovereignty. Not a state, not a protocol, not a DAO with a voting token. Sovereignty is not a membership. It is a capability.
Sovereignty is compiled.
You become sovereign the day your tools work without anyone's permission. Your keys, held by you. Your money, moving without a bank's approval. Your words, published where no platform can unpublish them. Your AI agent — and this is the new part — earning and spending on your behalf, under budgets you set, on rails nobody can revoke.
That last one is what we build here.
What actually exists
Not a whitepaper. Working tools, MIT-licensed, on npm and PyPI, that you can run tonight:
- An AI agent with its own Lightning wallet. It checks its balance, publishes to NOSTR, lists products on a marketplace, answers DMs — and pays for its own tools in sats. When it needed a web search, it got a Lightning invoice for 50 sats, paid it over Nostr Wallet Connect, and the search ran. Settlement in about four seconds. No account, no API key, no KYC. The payment hash is public; the audit log is real.
- The five MCP servers it runs on — wallet, NOSTR operations, marketplace publishing, node admin, and a paywall sidecar that can put any tool behind a Lightning invoice. Each one is a brick anyone can take.
- A vending machine we own end-to-end: a stranger with a Phoenix wallet zapped a note 2,100 sats, our node verified the payment — the actual settlement, on our own wallet, not a spoofable receipt — and a bot delivered the goods by DM. No marketplace took a cut. No platform could have stopped it.
Every piece runs on hardware we control. The signing key never leaves the house. The wallet obeys budget caps the agent cannot exceed. When something failed — a flaky relay, a stuck channel — it failed safe, and we published the post-mortem.
The world this builds
Extend the line. Millions of agents, each with a wallet, each paying per use for exactly what they need — search, compute, data, storage — with no accounts, no surveillance pricing, no platform tax. Individuals and small operators selling to those agents directly, getting paid in a money no one can freeze. The "AI economy" everyone predicts, except the rails belong to the people running the nodes instead of to five companies.
That world doesn't arrive by voting for it. It arrives one self-hosted node, one published tool, one settled invoice at a time. It is being compiled right now, by people who got tired of waiting.
What joining means here
There is nothing to join. That's the point.
- Run the tools. They're free.
pipx install nostr-merchant. Fork them, break them, tell us what's wrong. - Sell something. Put a tool behind the paywall, a file behind a zap. Feel what it's like when payment needs nobody's approval.
- Or just watch the receipts. Every claim above has an event ID or a payment hash behind it. We post the failures too.
The old manifesto ended: "Your sovereignty awaits."
