Things are moving along nicely. Was a busy day today and at some point I crashed and burned for a few hours. Woke very disorientated.
My takeaway from the auction is that I am not as good of an auctioneer as I am a salesperson. No harm or shame in that; in fact, a previous manager gave me a boss compliment on my ability to sell. "You could sell peanut butter to an anaphylactic."
Selling in person is way easier that over the internet. For me, finding out what the customer wants, informing them of the qualities of the product, and compare the prices to other similar items; was fun. Selling art online is a tricky beast, very slippery. A few nostriches have been extremely helpful, lighting the fire under my ass. Keep me going. Keep me thinking and moving forward. Forward is not an instinctive direction for myself. My family will attest to me cruising through life, haphazardly or rather, bouncing off the walls of life.
Success is NOT linear though. It is, hard work. Smart work. Dedication. Falling down and getting back up. Building on top of learned lessons. Learned lessons come from FAILURE. Failure isn't even bad in this light, it becomes part and parcel of the process.
