The Most Unexpected Teacher I Ever Had

In 2009, while i was a university student in Dhaka, i learned one of the most valuable life lessons- not from a professor, but from a rickshaw puller.

One afternoon, i stopped at a small local restaurant for lunch. A rickshaw puller sat across from me. His rickshaw was parked outside.

As we ate, i couldn't help but notice his manners. He ate slowly, neatly, and with genuine respect for the food. He chose a simple, healthy meal and didn't waste a single bite.

Without realizing it, i started following the way he ate.

After lunch, i spoke with him. He told me he had never been to school. Yet he had learned many good habits through hard work, honesty, and by observing others. He believed that every person has something worth learning.

That conversation changed the way i see people.

Since then, i've tried to remember this simple truth.

Never judge a person by their profession or appearance. Wisdom can come from anyone.

I never met him again, but i still remember him with gratitude.

Wherever you are, my friend, i hope you're doing well. Thank you for teaching me a lesson i'll never forget.
