For the first time, I attended BTCPrague and my main reason for going was to see how Gamestr looked in real life: the logo and booth design I created. Beyond that, it was great to see familiar faces and catch up with people at the Nostr booth. I put “Nostr” in quotes because, honestly, it was barely recognizable as one. I don’t know who organized it, but given how many talented designers and artists exist within the Nostr community, I think they could have done a better job even on short notice. For context, I built the Gamestr logo and booth design in two days. I’m not here to tear down someone else’s work, because things are what they are. But with my Dutch roots, I say what I think.:)
No Art From Me at BTCPrague I believe everything happens for a reason. My art wasn’t in the gallery at BTCPrague — and that was a conscious choice. I’ve always done things my own way, which sometimes means my work won’t appear at major Bitcoin events. The exposure would have been valuable, but I need to feel a genuine connection with the venue and context. That said, I’m not calling BTCPrague a bad venue I had a wonderful time meeting everyone from the Nostr community there. I just believe in staying focused on your own path, and for me, that meant sitting this one out. I did see some great artists exhibiting their work, and the art itself was well presented. I hope they got what they were aiming for.
