The Nintendo Switch 2 launched with no games, let’s be real. It came with essentially an expansion of an already existing game and that’s it. For me, it was one of the worst console launches I’ve ever seen. Six months later, however… And we still have nothing! I am a Kirby-obsessed nutjob and love Kirby Air Riders even though it’s a chaotic mess. And then there’s the ever-popular pile of lazy crap that is Pokémon Legends: Z-A and the Donkey Kong game. Aside from that… I guess we have a $10 tutorial. Amazing. However, 2026 looks like the year we may finally get some Nintendo Switch 2 games that make the system worth existing. Of course, no Mario or Legend of Zelda games have been announced, but gamers are expecting some big announcements in the next Nintendo Direct. Whenever that is. Meanwhile, here are the games we know of so far. I know this is considered exciting news for Nintendo fanboys but… Not sure this is breaking news. Unless you only have a Nintendo Switch 2 and have been dying for The Rumble Fish 2. Even though it looks like pretty abysmal slop that will get Pokemon fans on board, it looks better than Z-A visually, stylistically… It has personality at least. However, I’m living for all these Dyansty Warriors games. I know they already exist, alright? I stand by what I said. Pokémon Champions will hopefully revive my love for the franchise after its recent cash grabs. It’s also a great year to add Phasmophobia to your console, as it’s receiving a massive update in early 2026 . I’m also excited for whatever weird, babyish Yoshi game this is. I’ve always loved Yoshi, although nothing has compared to Woolly World in recent years.
