coracle.social

coracle.social is a privacy-first, progressive-web Nostr client that runs entirely in the browser (no install, no cookies, no trackers) while storing keys locally in encrypted IndexedDB so users can post, react, zap, and follow feeds without creating an account or exposing metadata to any server. The minimalist interface renders kind-1 notes, long-form articles (kind-30023), live events (kind-30311), and zap streams with real-time updates via WebSocket relays; offline mode caches the last 1 000 events, allowing read and draft composition without connectivity. Features include hashtag columns, relay rotation, NIP-05 badges, gift-wrap DMs, and native Lightning tipping through webln or WebLN-compatible wallets. Built with SvelteKit and licensed MIT, the source is published on GitHub and can be self-hosted as a static bundle; developers can theme or extend it via plugins, while end-users retain complete control over filters, mutes, and identity keys.
