Welcome everybody to the Pretty Good Blog! Our goal is to introduce our strategy and roadmap for realization of the web of trust, a dream that was inspired by the 1991 release of Phil Zimmermann's Pretty Good Privacy. But after over 3 decades, the dream has yet to be achieved. We aim to fix that.
Our proposed strategy is based upon what we are calling the tapestry model for knowledge representation and curation. After years of quiet development, from the abstract conceptual level down to detailed execution in the form of a pair of proof of concept apps, we feel we are ready to rally the freedom tech-loving community behind this cause. We're going to start with a series of articles over the next weeks and months to lay the conceptual foundation and describe the roadmap in as much detail as possible.
