Free Palestine 🇵🇸 — a poem

I believe in a land where there is no hurt nor pain, nor blood nor bombs, nor Polio;

where freedom reigns, restrains ẓulm1;

where the sky is not filled with mass destruction, nor the newspapers with mass deception, nor the governments with mass corruption, nor the graveyards filled with martyrs —       awaiting resurrection.

It's a place where taḥrīr2 and ḥurrīyah3 dance together, and the sound of liberty rings more than sirens' wailing, childrens', mothers', men's, and corpses'.

Free, free Palestine, from Her river to the sea, free, free Palestine, and let Her children run free, and let it be known to the world, in all its cruelty, that Ġazzah bled in this lowest dunyah4, to ascend to the highest ranks of Al-ākhirah5.

p.s. dear people of Palestine, dead or alive, you have let our hearts glimpse just a crack of the light beyond the covers of ġaflah6 that ensnare us. A thousand thanks, and I ask God Almighty to forgive me for falling short in what I could not do to help my brothers and sisters in Palestine.
