Bring Back the BCH Mobile Billboard to the Streets of Maputo and Matola

As many in the community already know, I was recently involved in a serious accident during my last BCH meetup, which caused significant damage to the BCH Mobile Billboard vehicle — also known locally as the “CHAPA”. Fortunately, I came out unharmed physically, but I did experience moderate psychological impact and a period of mental disruption. Still, I never once considered stepping away from my mission of continuing local onboarding work. ![The most famous BCH car in Mozambique before the crash](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!rvc7!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F000ead06-a9c9-4103-8d18-63f1a8e30955_1200x630.jpeg) ![After the crash: hood is gone, headlights gone and front bumper too.](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!VQ6F!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2Fdca5fc27-4a2e-491b-ae6a-96b7b06d0fc8_4160x1872.jpeg) ![Even damaged, the BCH symbol still shine but not anymore in the streets.](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!EFzJ!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F017fa899-b922-4069-b94a-dc8fd306250b_4160x1872.jpeg) I remain committed — shaken, but firmly standing — and in order to avoid leaving the vehicle inactive and the most effective BCH mobility and awareness tool “buried”, I’ve decided to open a fundraising campaign to get it back on the road. However, this campaign is not structured like the previous one on Fundme.cash. It is designed so that any funds received can be immediately used for essential repairs and getting the vehicle operational again as soon as possible. I personally deployed the landing page here: [https://bch-mobile-billboard.vercel.app](https://bch-mobile-billboard.vercel.app) and all sats received will go directly toward restoring the BCH Mobile Billboard. ![Front bumper bought and paid $318 in full just need to be delivered. For those who have followed the journey of this vehicle, you know it was originally funded successfully through that platform. Today, it is already out in the streets doing what it was built to do. However, it has not yet generated enough operational history for me to present a fully structured report back to the community. My intention is to properly document, stabilize, and grow this initiative as both a real-world business and a powerful BCH onboarding and visibility tool in Maputo and Matola. I see Fundme as a serious platform for structured seed funding, and I will return there when the campaign requires that type of formal setup — but not in the current situation. Right now, the priority is simple: get the vehicle back on the road. At the same time, I prefer to rely on people who already know my work and understand the level of effort and dedication I put into onboarding people locally into the BCH ecosystem — both individuals and businesses. ![Moments like this happen because BCH mobile can spread awareness through Maputo and](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!IREI!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F0037bd1d-1b53-43e1-b92e-f50aba99355f_4160x2458.jpeg) ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!r0sJ!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F214142f9-f6a5-4beb-ac09-9a527306c349_4160x1872.jpeg) ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!g9lY!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F9105201d-0e7c-40d2-a5f9-688c0298fd8b_4160x3120.jpeg) I truly believe the community can come together on this. More than 50% of real-world onboarding here happens through the BCH Mobile Billboard (CHAPA). It is constantly on the streets, sparking curiosity, and creating conversations every day. One simple question from someone seeing it — “what is that symbol?” — is often the first step into onboarding a new user into Bitcoin Cash. Let’s bring the BCH Mobile Billboard back to the streets of Maputo and Matola. I’m counting on you — because together, we are stronger.

AskJson: The AI Tool Dedicated to the Bitcoin Cash Ecosystem

**Nowadays it is practically impossible** not to use or to have heard of some artificial intelligence tool. From a few years ago until now, these tools are part of people’s daily life and help with several tasks, whether they are work, home, school, and much more. They are essential in the times that are running. However, many of these popular artificial intelligence tools need a lot of money to have people who train them and feed their database. They need general, technical, fundamental, and other knowledge, so that they function well, without hallucinations or even without information that is not verified. Researchers have to work a lot so that they have coherent, valid, and true information because they already are part of people’s lives. ![](https://image.nostr.build/0584d5fa484cbbb2ec28c0619911e14ae89cc699dfb464d2e964216a6ba1bdc8.jpg) [AskJson](https://askjson.layer1.cash/) is a independent, private (no users info is maintained) artificial intelligence tool that only concentrates on the** Bitcoin Cash ecosystem**. That is, AskJson is the first tool in the world that is prepared to teach users everything they need to know about **Bitcoin Cash, CashScript, or even CashTokens**. While other artificial intelligence tools concentrate on spreading information about everything that users need to know, [AskJson](https://askjson.layer1.cash/) only wants to educate and teach people everything about Bitcoin Cash. If people want to know about fundamental questions about BCH, the tool answers. If they need to know about CashScript and how to create, for example, a smart contract, the tool is ready to say. It does not stop here, because it also ventures into the CashTokens protocol and provides everything that users need to know about it. ![](https://image.nostr.build/e3265f15d42b8dacbaa34fac652e853bf87129fac12a1c5e42b663bdfa25169b.jpg) ![](https://image.nostr.build/89db6be84444f9ab9b513d00aabc6bc31dafc595d64ed0bc5e80b033d01a4aac.jpg) Fortunately, with my help and that of other testers, [AskJson](https://askjson.layer1.cash/) today has more capacity to **provide information and answer questions, whether they are foundational about Bitcoin Cash, technical, and much more.** Different from popular tools that many times have VC sponsorships and a very well-paid team to conduct analyses and expand their database, AskJson is a project that concentrates on** the BCH community**, teaching about it, giving means to access the CashScript and CashTokens universe. AskJson is important so that more people are provided information about the BCH ecosystem and learn a lot from it. ![](https://image.nostr.build/20fcbdf5c279e3566d93542c9126051fd1017423124b4cb6f1f6760de161d6c6.jpg) ![](https://image.nostr.build/15f0e95538c640931fd1a0be83dfbcf112a4ec1c9c86878537cb602b7d8be921.jpg) ![](https://image.nostr.build/83d7c97b337008770ff716fe6b458b53afa9d63f647fcf5e4e74ecc60ce3b7cf.jpg) In short, **AskJson** is the tool that has all the necessary information for those who seek to know about BCH and everything that is part of it. Whoever consults it can have access to concise, practical, and essential information about the Bitcoin Cash ecosystem. Among the information that it provides, it is more technical but without stopping being comprehensive so that whoever accesses the tool is “fed” with vital information **about BCH, CashScript, and CashTokens.** Therefore, if you seek to know more about Bitcoin Cash and everything that the ecosystem provides, access AskJson. It will help to decipher a lot of information about BCH as well as help to enter deeper into CashScript and CashTokens and have a good taste of everything that the ecosystem provides. The BCH ecosystem is growing day after day and gradually being a universe much sought after by those who want a decentralized, innovative, and very secure network. And AskJson is part of this vast Bitcoin Cash universe. Access it** **[**today**](https://askjson.layer1.cash/)** and join their Telegram **[**here**](https://t.me/layer1_cash)**.** --- Enjoyed this article? On BCHnostr You Are Not the Product — You Are the Owner

The biggest difference between BCHnostr and other social platforms: **On others, you are the product. On BCHnostr, you are the owner of your account. ** On others social platforms your posts can be removed as the company behind them own your account. Algorithms control what you can see as you are the product and all what they want is to sell ads and got you involved with their company sales. They control your data and collect it globally and many times sell it to the high bidder. In resume, these centralized services are more worried their revenue than the user and they doesn't mean anything than a product that anytime can be thrown away. ![](https://image.nostr.build/4d9cbed13725517ccd80c6e765b061b50ee506d590971d9a0cde63ff74da2243.jpg) On **BCHnostr this all change**: - People own their keys/profile, no post can be removed or account suspended. The protocol is decentralized and the user is responsible to hold their keys, it uses monetization based on Bitcoin Cash with us a borderless money working in all the world. No farming engagement or ads to get the user distracted with his mission to use and engage with real people and with things that matter to them. There's no data collection or depending on intermediaries to connect with the world and much more. The reason BCHnostr matters the most is because it combines two things that fit together naturally: a decentralized social media (nostr) and peer-to-peer electronic cash for the world (Bitcoin Cash). This is a powerful **combo.** ![](https://image.nostr.build/63286be7bf5461512b8e9c1b41eed334d54b233c15305eb96d684677a377c764.jpg) While on other** social media platforms** they chase impressions, algorithms, and sponsors; on **BCHnostr** a creator can receive real value instantly from anyone in the world, even fractions of a cent, just because Bitcoin Cash fees are extremely low and designed for tiny payments. This changes the psychology of the internet. Instead of: - ragebait, - clickbait, - engagement manipulation, - and advertiser control, Users move toward: - direct support, - micro-rewards, - community economies, - and permissionless publishing. This is the same reason older BCH social platforms like Memo.cash became important experiments years ago. They proved that social media plus uncensorable money actually works. A lot of people underestimate BCHnostr because they compare it to other social media using current user numbers. That is the wrong comparison. The real comparison is: **corporate internet** vs **protocol internet, **rented identity vs owned identity and ad economy vs value economy. Other social platforms can still be bigger today. No question. But **BCHnostr** has a stronger philosophical foundation for the future of online interaction: open protocol, no gatekeepers, borderless payments, and censorship resistance. That matters especially in places where: - banking access is weak, - monetization is difficult, - currencies collapse, - or speech gets restricted. For creators in places like Mozambique or across Africa, this is not just a tech experiment. It can become a real economic tool. The internet has never truly solved tiny payments properly. Bitcoin Cash is one of the few systems where sending fractions of a cent is economically viable because fees remain extremely low. That is why many BCH supporters will see BCHnostr as more than “another social app" but "the app". ![](https://image.nostr.build/9289b66c2e2d3b60658c240e627c81255456f47e3e2115347eb0f6872dc9e099.jpg) They see it as: > social media rebuilt around peer-to-peer money. And if that model succeeds, it can disrupt: - Patreon, - YouTube monetization, - ad-driven media, - subscriptions, - and even remittances/community funding. The hardest part is not the technology anymore. The hardest part is adoption, network effects, and getting people to stop depending entirely on centralized platforms. That takes time. But every major decentralized protocol looked small at the beginning.

How a Silent Breakthrough Called Quantumroot Changed the Way I See BCH

[Days back](https://x.com/bitjson/status/1991507572952842406?t=j5iFzY3acmzz52vJfMknZw&s=19), while I was reading news about the BCH ecosystem, I came across with something that made me stop, give a deep breath and think: **“Ok, this changes everything.”** That was the announcement of * *[*Quantumroot*](https://blog.bitjson.com/quantumroot-on-chipnet/)*, *a system that may sound complicated, but actually is just - **some kind of ultra safe lock that protects Bitcoin Cash from computers which don’t exist yet.** And was here where I understood: **BCH has given a step forward that majority of cryptocurrencies doesn’t even know how to start.** ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!AWtv!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2Fca78a375-5e3b-4e69-b031-4e0be009699b_720x747.jpeg) --- ## The Story That starts With an Invisible Problem... Imagine that one day could exist a very powerful computer that can decrypt private keys in minutes. I am not talking about today, or tomorrow... but a day in future. When this happens, millions of old wallets will be vulnerable to attacks. Lost or forgot funds, left in addresses from 2013, 2017, or even older - would be easy targets. For the majority of blockchains, this is a silent nightmare. But someone decided to face this future today: [**Jason Dreyzehner**](https://blog.bitjson.com/quantumroot-on-chipnet/)**.** ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!Les4!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F3a0015a9-c4e8-4bd2-8d29-35ba4d9954cc_720x1006.jpeg) --- ## **… and With A Solution that Arrive first at Bitcoin Cash** Jason built something that even those big blockchains didn’t: **fully functional post-quantum vault** inside the Bitcoin script. And he didn’t put it into BTC Or in Ethereum. Or even in a layer 2 He put it on **Bitcoin Cash**. The name? ***Quantumroot*.** The function: **to protect funds against Quantum computers.** --- ## The most impressive? This isn’t theory. It’s real. *Quantumroot* already comes with: - Functional code - contracts already working - tests, documentation - tools that will integrate wallets This means: **It is a system ready to use - not a PDF with promises.** --- ## And why this is only possible in BCH? Different from other blockchains, BCH have been working on silence with upgrades that many still ignoring: - o *CashVM* - introspective contracts - upgrades on the UTXO model - the 2025 and 2026 upgrades that opened space to new kind of signatures All of this together, allowed to something unique to happen; **Quantumroot allows 100 times cheaper fees when compared to Ethereum for example.** ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!Qaz8!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F56f418fc-f894-488d-90b2-6157e8116eda_720x654.jpeg) And more: - It can allow giant transactions up to [**800 inputs**](https://news.bitcoin.com/quantumroot-debuts-on-bitcoin-cash-first-post-quantum-vault-on-bitcoin-script/) - Doesn’t sacrifice privacy - Increase stability - Make better the life whom run a full node. This sounds kinda ironic: **when Jason prepared BCH for the future, he also gave a better today for the currency.** --- # What this means for you and for me? This means: - The money you store in BCH today, now have a strong future - Wallets can smoothly migrate to a fully functional post-quantum vault - The blockchain gain more capacity and more cheaper fees - And BCH reinforce its status as **money for the next decades,** not just for today. Jason made a good resume: > “[*Quantumroot*](https://news.bitcoin.com/quantumroot-debuts-on-bitcoin-cash-first-post-quantum-vault-on-bitcoin-script/) reinforce BCH as an reserve asset in long term.” And boy, I can’t disagree with him. --- ## In simple terms? **BCH just unblocked a superpower that no other big blockchain have done: a real and fully functional post-quantum vault.** This isn’t marketing. FUD. Or Promise. This is code. It is Technology. This is the future happening early on BCH. --- **If you enjoyed this breakdown and want to support more BCH articles like this, feel free to drop a small tip. Bitcoin Cash Beyond Speculation: Building a Circular Economy in Mozambique

![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!fY7K!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F2a45560a-97c2-4f51-9f29-492a0a10cb83_1536x2048.jpeg) In Mozambique, where I live and work, financial problems are not abstract. They are daily, practical, and very real. Many people don’t have access to proper banking, international payments are expensive, and inflation slowly eats away at people’s savings. In this context, I realized that cryptocurrency only makes sense if it actually works as money — something people can use in real life. --- ## A long journey in the BCH community ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!GrWe!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2Fa0a2c2ac-6883-4efc-9ef6-7246e744c8ac_2048x2048.jpeg) ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!7wjG!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F22195a9f-2ef9-445d-89c5-1d268c8aaff2_2048x1536.jpeg) I’m not new to the Bitcoin Cash community. I have been part of it for **over seven years** — soon completing my eighth year — and I have always admired BCH. Living in Africa, where the minimum wage rarely exceeds $100, BCH has personally helped me in many ways. One of my personal projects has been using BCH to fund the construction of my own house. I managed to **raise enough to build the walls**, and while I haven’t completed the project yet due to limited funding, the work is well underway. This experience taught me the tangible value of BCH: it’s not only digital money but a tool to **empower people and make things happen in real life**. Before organizing meetups, I was primarily a **content creator**. I’ve written extensively about BCH on platforms like **Read.cash, Bastyon, Substack**, and maintained a presence on **X, Reddit**, and other channels — sharing insights, tutorials, and updates about the ecosystem. My work online laid the foundation for later community-building offline, connecting with people, answering questions, and spreading awareness about BCH in a practical, educational way. Over the years, I’ve witnessed many important milestones in the BCH ecosystem: - the split that created **eCash (XEC)**, - the development and deployment of **Cashtokens**, - BCH climbing back to **$1,620 per unit in 2021**, - and countless technological and community developments along the way. I’ve also had the opportunity to interview **OGs of BCH**, and engage with people online, spreading awareness and education about BCH. But it’s not just online work — I have also been active **on the ground in Mozambique** with CHAPA BCH Mozambique and the meetups I organize. I plan to run these more consistently, of course, **once we receive sufficient support**. This long-standing engagement gives me a perspective many newcomers lack: I see both the **potential and the pitfalls**, the highs and lows, and the importance of **practical, real-life adoption** rather than speculation. --- ## From curiosity to real-world meetups ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!8bk1!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F632d54ff-f5e9-4962-8043-6bd1bd2f64e9_2048x1536.jpeg) ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!NKnx!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F752f8497-ae0a-40be-a688-322c436da80e_1600x1200.jpeg) My first step in Mozambique was simple: education. I started organizing small meetups in Matola, a city near Maputo, where I invited students and young workers to talk about Bitcoin Cash. Not as an investment, but as a tool: how to receive it, how to store it safely, how to send it, and most importantly, how to use it. Instead of PowerPoint presentations, I focused on practical demonstrations: - installing wallets, - scanning QR codes, - sending small amounts between each other, - and seeing transactions confirmed in seconds. For most people, this was the first time they saw digital money that actually felt like cash. No bank, no paperwork, no permission. That moment — when someone realizes *“I can really use this”* — is where adoption truly starts. --- ## The story that stayed with me One of the moments that marked me the most didn’t happen at a meetup. One day, I gave a ride to a worker I had just met. During the trip, we started talking about life, work, and money. Eventually, I told him about Bitcoin Cash and what I was trying to build with community education. He was newly married and very interested. He said the idea of a global, open money made sense, especially for someone like him, who works hard but struggles with traditional financial systems. I invited him to my first official meetup, which happened on December 20th. Unfortunately, he couldn’t attend. He was working that day and couldn’t leave his job. But he sent me a message saying he was disappointed to miss it and promised he would attend the next one. That next meetup is on February 21st. For me, that story represents something important: real adoption is not about numbers on a chart. It’s about real people with real schedules, real responsibilities, and real interest — even if they can’t always show up immediately. Trust and curiosity take time. --- ## CHAPA BCH Mozambique: From an Idea to a Real Transportation Network ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!0tJa!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2Fbc79fd3a-0643-4791-b45a-8093387e5916_1536x2048.jpeg) CHAPA BCH Mozambique is not just an educational project. It is a transportation initiative where people can actually **pay for rides using Bitcoin Cash**. The idea started small. I imagined a simple system where riders could pay in BCH, and drivers could choose whether to receive BCH or local currency (metical). The important part was that **all value would ultimately flow back into BCH**, strengthening a real circular economy. The concept resonated with the Bitcoin Cash community, and the project received initial funding support. That was the moment it stopped being just an idea and became a real experiment. The model is simple but powerful: - riders pay using BCH or local wallets, - drivers receive BCH or metical, - all flows are converted into BCH, - and the system promotes continuous usage instead of speculation. In practice, this means people are not just holding BCH — they are **using it for mobility**, one of the most essential services in daily life. --- ## When reality hits: floods and interruption ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!Olez!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F4c427f01-00c1-4cb8-aae0-95a754acf849_960x1280.jpeg) In 2026, Mozambique was hit by severe floods that devastated many parts of the country. Streets were destroyed, transport became impossible in several areas, and many businesses were forced to stop. CHAPA BCH was no exception. There was simply no way to operate: no roads, no movement, no safety. For a while, everything had to pause. But this was also a reminder of something important: real adoption is tied to real life. It is affected by weather, infrastructure, politics, and social conditions. This is not a simulation. This is reality. --- ## Back to the streets Now the floods have stopped. Schools are reopening. Jobs are restarting. Businesses are coming back. And CHAPA BCH is also returning to the streets. Slowly, carefully, but with more experience than before. People who already had BCH are using it again. New users are curious. Drivers are motivated because they see it working. This time, the project is not just an experiment. It is a **living system**. Still embryonic, yes. But real. Functional. And growing. --- ## A report will come — when the time is right When CHAPA BCH reaches a more mature stage, I plan to publish a full report: - what worked, - what failed, - how many people used it, - how value circulated, - and what lessons were learned. Not to promote anything. But to document something rare in crypto: A real business. In a real country. With real people. Using Bitcoin Cash as real money. --- ## Circular economy is built with small steps ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!pzJY!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F5f5f330e-efaf-4813-af7d-e10a2b242ffb_1536x2048.jpeg) A circular economy doesn’t start with big businesses. It starts with two people. One person receives BCH. Another person accepts it. And both trust that it has value because it works. In my meetups, I always emphasize this: You don’t need mass adoption first. You need *micro adoption* that grows organically. When students see: - their friend paying for something with BCH, - or someone receiving BCH and smiling because it was fast and simple, their fear disappears. They don’t need to understand cryptography or blockchain theory. They just need to see that it works. That’s why I always focus on: - real demonstrations, - real use cases, - and real stories. Technology alone doesn’t create trust. Experience does. --- ## The human factor matters more than the technology ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!oBwr!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F710e2040-25d4-48b6-9480-4223f34fa6fb_1600x1200.jpeg) One mistake many crypto projects make is assuming that better technology automatically leads to adoption. In my experience, this is wrong. People don’t adopt technology. People adopt *solutions to their problems*. In Mozambique, those problems include: - expensive remittances, - limited access to international payments, - lack of financial inclusion, - and dependence on centralized systems. Bitcoin Cash solves many of these issues, but only if someone explains it patiently, face-to-face, and in simple language. Most people are afraid of losing money. They are afraid of scams. They are afraid of doing something wrong. So the real work is not technical. It’s emotional and social. It’s about building confidence. --- ## Meetups are not events — they are relationships I don’t see meetups as marketing events. I see them as the beginning of relationships. When someone attends a meetup, installs a wallet, and sends their first transaction, they are not becoming “a user”. They are becoming part of a network of trust. They know they can ask questions. They know they can make mistakes. They know someone is there to help. This is why physical presence matters so much in adoption. Online education is useful, but real trust is built offline. Especially in places like Africa, where community and personal interaction are fundamental. --- ## Beyond speculation, towards utility Most of the crypto world is still obsessed with price. But price does not create value. Utility does. A currency has value when: - people use it, - people understand it, - and people trust it. In my work, I don’t talk about “the next bull market”. I talk about: - sending money without banks, - protecting yourself from inflation, - and building financial independence. Speculation may bring attention. But utility brings sustainability. --- ## The future I believe in I don’t believe in overnight revolutions. I believe in slow, consistent progress. One meetup at a time. One person at a time. One transaction at a time. The worker I gave a ride to will attend the February 21st meetup. Maybe he will bring a friend. Maybe that friend will tell someone else. That’s how real adoption spreads. Not through influencers. Not through hype. But through human connections. --- ## Final thoughts ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!mPIA!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F9723f46e-261e-4db9-bdde-4151b5276986_1536x2048.jpeg) Bitcoin Cash does not need to “conquer Africa”. Africa just needs tools that work. In Mozambique, I see every day that people are ready. They are curious. They are practical. They are open. What they need is not promises. They need: - education, - simple tools, - and real examples. CHAPA BCH Mozambique is my small contribution to that vision. Not a company. Not a startup. Just a community trying to build something real. Beyond speculation. Beyond price charts. Towards real, usable money. --- **Support and Connect** If you enjoyed this article or want to support my work with Bitcoin Cash, you can send tips to my BCH address: **BCH Tips:** ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!RJyS!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2Fb350d28c-37ed-4d39-8104-3e45e608f441_318x318.jpeg) bitcoincash:qrtu43zrh58wzkqhvzs95gxsfnlw2mg9kvqg2u8a8n You can also follow me and read more about Bitcoin Cash on my platforms: **Blogs & Content:** - [Read.cash](https://read.cash/@alberdioni8406) - [Bastyon](https://bastyon.com/alberdioni8406) - [Publish0x](https://www.publish0x.com/@alberdioni8406) - [Substack](https://alberdioni8406.substack.com/) - [Website](https://alberdioni8406support.vercel.app) **Social Media & Community:** - [X (Twitter)](https://x.com/alberdioni8406_) - [Reddit](https://reddit.com/u/alberdioni8406_) - Telegram:[ @alberdioni8406](https://t.me/alberdioni8406) Thank you for supporting real adoption, education, and content creation around Bitcoin Cash! ---

Thorchain Exploit Drains $11M Across 9 Chains — What It Means for Bitcoin Cash

This Monday, the crypto market woke up with the main coins behaving irregularly, raising suspicions that it may have been affected by the recent exploit of the Thorchain protocol on May 15, 2026. While this may be true—given that it mostly impacted Bitcoin and Ethereum—it also affected other cryptocurrencies, with greater incidence on BTC, ETH, BNB Chain, and Base. According to the renowned investigator [ZachXBT](https://t.me/investigations/319), these were the chains that suffered the most from the exploit, and the perpetrator(s) caused significant damage. Bitcoin had more than 36.7 BTC stolen, representing over 3 million dollars in losses; Ethereum saw more than 3,443 ETH taken by the attacker, along with ERC-20 tokens as well as USDC/USDT wrapped assets; on the BNB Chain network, more than 96.5 BNB were drained; and finally, the Base chain was also attacked, where the author(s) took considerable amounts of assets. In a more detailed blog, [TRM Labs](https://www.blockchain.com/explorer/addresses/bch/qpp775v2je9texcv54rhd6kl9pfudy2nyyz4df2uvc) states that the exploit had a greater impact on these major networks but affected a total of 9 chains—Avalanche, Dogecoin, Litecoin, XRP, and Bitcoin Cash. According to these researchers, and using the information they provided, I dug deeper into this and found an entry of 628 BCH that the attacker or attackers managed to extract from the Thorchain protocol vaults, though not enough to shake the market. I specifically checked because I wanted to better understand whether this amount of BCH drained from Thor’s vaults could have a strong impact on the market, but I don’t believe it does. It is important to understand that the exploit happened on May 15, and on that same day Bitcoin Cash was trading above 430 dollars, continuing to decline to 385–374 dollars today, Monday—mainly due to the broader crypto market, which experienced deep changes and financial liquidations influencing the price not only of BCH but also of many other coins. Bitcoin Cash does not exist in isolation, and when Bitcoin moves, it also tends to register notable losses. This Thorchain event contributed to some users becoming concerned and pausing trading, especially since the protocol itself has been halted until the situation normalizes and prevents attackers from causing further damage. Across all nine networks, the Thorchain protocol suffered total losses of 11 million dollars, with more than 12,500 wallets affected that may be compensated in the future. This is significant for a protocol that has not been attacked for the first time, with users losing millions of dollars. However, it is always important to keep in mind that such events will continue to happen, largely because while developers create protection and security mechanisms against hackers, attackers also innovate in their methods and will always find ways to breach protocols and achieve their goals. Therefore, whenever you use the protocol, always keep this in mind. Why Bitcoin Cash Stands Strong When Everything Else Falls

Sometimes the truth show up in places where we don't expect. While BTC was dumping and the market going crazy, I noticed that Bitcoin Cash remained **steady like a king**. That wasn't hype, or luck - that was a sign. A sign was that made me want to share this story with you. The more I observed the market sign, it was clear: it wasn't an isolated price movement. That wasn't a coincidence, neither those pumps ending as fast they started. There's something **strong and deeper** behind BCH - all connected in the way people **use the currency, the real-stories happening on the ecosystem far from the "big financial sectors", and the fundamentals** incorporated in BCH. ![](https://image.nostr.build/7b15ece88406836d347e31e9ecd4dfaaf0271a44b019a368d7dbb0c988b6f7f6.jpg) Was here, while I was putting all pieces together, that I realized that BCH wasn't just **standing tall and steady**. Bitcoin Cash (BCH) was confirming a path being built for years. The same path people outside the ecosystem are starting to notice. BCH isn't **steady** in the market by coincidence at all. It's showing enough strength because far from the headlines and market noise, there's a silent movement of people in the community using as money. **Bitcoin Cash** isn't **speculative bubble** or technological trophy, but a **peer-to-peer electronic Cash system**: the **simplest, faster and accessible way to make payments.** While BTC **drifted** from this mission and became **expensive, slower** for daily use, BCH kept the path that Satoshi Nakamoto originally created Bitcoin for - and **now** the market is finally starting to see it. > **Bitcoin Cash** kept the original design of Bitcoin, the one Satoshi Nakamoto intended: **money for the people. ** > > **Right now the market is noticing that:** > > - BCH is **fast** > - BCH is **cheaper to use** > - BCH **works for daily payments** > - BCH **doesn't follow hype.** # Beyond the Charts: The Real Stories Pushing Bitcoin Cash Forward **Bitcoin Cash (BCH)** is aligned with what Satoshi Nakamoto wanted: **a peer-to-peer electronic cash system**. While BTC drifted from this path, becoming extremely expensive and slower for daily use, BCH is **filling** this gap serving as money for daily use. **Bitcoin Cash** is registering also a growing adoption in the real-world. In the past, was practically impossible to use cryptocurrency to pay for products and services. But BCH is **filling** that and merchants are adopting the currency as payment to purchase: **coffees, pay for rides, e-commerce, etc.** There's a growing number of companies and start-ups working to easiest people's life showing them that BCH can be used to pay for things that matter. **Projects like:** - [Paytaca](https://paytaca.com) - [CHAPA BCH Moçambique](https://map.paytaca.com), etc. **Are clearly helping on this.** More people worldwide, are showing online BCH being used daily for payments sharing videos and QR codes, educative material, etc. All of this provide **trust**. The BCH community is **united** and the devs are hardworking ones. There's a growing number of new **tools** being created, the community is committed to **educate** newcomers, there are more **debates** happening in the ecosystem, more support to **local projects**, the community support devs with **crowdfunding** and more. All of this provide a **solid belief** different from those coins that are based on **hype, marketing and influencers.** Also with the emergence of [Cashtokens](https://cashtokens.org), the BCH ecosystem grew a lot more. Now is possible to create: - tokens - stablecoins - DEXs - micro-apps - NFTs - provide liquidity on DeFi and much more all on top of the BCH chain. Cashtokens brought more users to the ecosystem, new possibilities and also more investors. Projects like [Cauldron](https://app.cauldron.com), [Tapswap](https://tapswap.com), etc, are showing that BCH can compete with ETH, Solana, BSC in may aspects - but **more cheaper and easy**. # The Silent Revolution: How BCH Is Growing While Others Drift Away **Bitcoin Cash** have been growing steady for years, always organically. This means: less price **manipulation**, less **pump and dump**, more **stability** and more **confidence** in the experienced holders. Coins that are built in hype, soon or later, collapse. The ones with real adoption **remain steady.** **Millions of people** in the world, from Africa to Asia, America or Europe, are discovering how **easy, cheap and fast** is to use BCH to send or receive money and solve real-world problems. All of this create demand even if the market crash. This means: **even if the market goes down, more people will still be using BCH to pay for their regular products and get their services done**. I could take a day writing "why BCH is steady in market" but the more important and significant ones, I highlight above. **In resume:** BCH is steady NOT because of hype - but because **real-world** utility, **strong community** and tech that **follows what Satoshi Nakamoto designed** for Bitcoin. BCH works and people are start noticing it. Use BCH, BE free. --- If you found this article useful or inspiring, feel free to support me with a tip. What is XO Cash and why is it important for Bitcoin Cash

**Bitcoin Cash** was born with a clear mission to the world: to be a fast electronic decentralized money, that’s cheap to use and accessible to all. With time, the network evolved and started to allow not just payments but also the creation of **decentralized financial dApps**, without depending on banks and intermediaries, using [**Cashtokens tech**](https://Cashtokens.org). It is in this context that [**XO Cash**](https://stack.xo.cash/blog/2025-10-15-Intro-to-XO-The-Why-and-the-What.html)** (or XO Stack)** emerges: an initiative that turns this evolution more **easy, secure and accessible**, either for the ones building or the ones using dApps on **Bitcoin Cash**. **This article will** explain what [**XO Cash**](https://stack.xo.cash/blog/2025-10-15-Intro-to-XO-The-Why-and-the-What.html) is, why it exists and why it is an important step for the future of the **BCH** ecosystem – all using a **simple language, easy to understand**, and without complicated technical language. --- ## The problem: powerful technology, but difficult to use ![5e7d079a7053bfd024b407132d4a0aab15a83284f5b0cc98756fcfb8e425c697.jpg](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!5V5v!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2Fa7362e4e-6eec-44b3-b541-ca4bead02dc8_714x509.jpeg) *Today*, **Bitcoin Cash** is more than just a system to *send* or *receive* money. The blockchain grew stronger, evolved and now supports **dApps** such as: - Decentralized financial platforms - Smart payment systems - Automatic smart contracts between people - New models of digital businesses The problem is that until now **building this kind of dApps demanded a lot of technical knowledge**. Each project needed to “reinvent the wheel”, creating their own rules, structures and new forms of interaction. For the **common** user, that means: - Confusing dApps - Low standardization - Risk of errors - Excessive dependency on third parties For **developers**, it means: - More time - More costs - More chances of failure **XO Cash was born exactly to solve all of this.** --- ## What is XO Cash in simple terms? You should think of **XO Cash as a system that organizes and standardizes** dApps on Bitcoin Cash. > A good analogy is the following: 🔹 Bitcoin Cash is a modern and well-built street. 🔹 XO Cash is the set of rules, signs and maps that turns this street easy and safe to use by anyone. Instead of each application working in a different way, **XO creates standardized models**, easy to understand, that allow dApps, wallets and users to “speak the same language”. --- ## What does XO do in practice? ![c5790746402dea05bf5abcd8c4e18d5b377ad676148a7ec70d86de41e53dae8a.jpg](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!e-rm!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F38f8366e-80d5-4058-895e-05a16cc705ad_720x595.jpeg) ### **1. Turns dApps more simple to users** With XO, a wallet can automatically understand: - What is happening with a transaction - What the user is authorizing - What are the rules of that dApp This means **less confusion, more transparency and security** for the ones using it. ### **2. Reduce errors and risks** When all follow a clear standardization: - There is less space for bugs - Less dependency on centralized systems - Less risk to lose funds due to a technical error This is essential for the ones using crypto in their daily routine, not just as investment, but as a tool for the real world. ### **3. Easies the creation of new solutions on Bitcoin Cash** Instead of starting from zero, who build dApps can use **ready structures**, tested and well defined. The result is that: - There will be more dApps being built - More innovation - More tools that work for common people The easier to build, the more people will build. --- ## Why is this important for the BCH ecosystem? ![b5154ff90b3e5d1d1484fd3a9fad23c11b8c2c216209f1bee29632f8ea7ac11b.jpg](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!z-Oc!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F6237a114-0490-4e7d-a7c2-98ac15391a18_716x703.jpeg) The success of a network doesn’t solely depend on the tech behind it, but **how easily people can use it**. XO Cash helps Bitcoin Cash to advance in key points: ### **Real adoption** Clear and simple dApps attract more users – including the ones that don’t understand anything about blockchain. ### **User experience** Wallets and dApps become more intuitive, more like tools to use every day. ### **Sustainable growth** With clear standards, the ecosystem grows more organized and without fragmentation. ### **Financial independence** Without intermediaries and closed systems, more power is in the hands of the common user. --- ## Can XO change something for the common user? Even if you never program or understand technical jargon, the direct impact is: - Easier dApps to use - Less hidden risks - More trust when interacting with the services on BCH - More options besides **send and receive** money It is an important step to transform BCH into **a complete financial structure**, open and accessible. --- ## Conclusion ![f6af146358ca57df5a38d4d75a7337a2251fddb42b9e7a445bc2ae7b5f157e09.jpg](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!4KHs!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F9bdbafad-3c82-4950-a123-545d26bee0a8_720x469.jpeg) XO Cash isn’t just another project in crypto. It is an **organization** that helps Bitcoin Cash to fulfill the original promise: *financial freedom with simplicity*. By turning dApps more clear, secure and easy to use, XO strengthens the whole ecosystem – from developers to common users. If Bitcoin Cash is the future money, initiatives like [**XO Cash**](https://stack.xo.cash/blog/2025-10-15-Intro-to-XO-The-Why-and-the-What.html) are what turn this future possible, useful and human. --- If you enjoyed this article, don’t forget to check out my latest [**article about our Bitcoin Cash Meetup**](https://read.cash/@alberdioni8406/a-brief-report-on-a-bitcoin-cash-meetup-in-mozambique-07f8ebd4), where I share my local experiences and insights directly from the community. Own Your Name, Own Your Money: Why BQuest Changes Everything for BCH

It’s been some time since I wrote an article for my community that isn’t about BCH meetups. But today I need to write about a project that I feel has so much potential and brings something that other chains haven’t achieved when it comes to using “names” as wallet IDs. I am talking about [**BQuest**](https://BqUest.cash)**.** Imagine this: when you use BQuest, you aren’t creating a wallet first, or even copying an address. You start by choosing a name — yes, a name. Like: “I want to be **@alberdioni8406** (in fact, my BQuest ID) on BCH.” That’s the entry point when you enter BQuest. ### You “own your handle” ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!b75T!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F318b8bd1-6041-4314-a778-9c89cec1c460_720x1307.jpeg) When a user joins BQuest.cash, the first thing they do is claim their handle — their desired username. As I mentioned earlier, you can choose any username that suits you best, like I did: @alberdioni8406, and right away secure it for yourself as long as no one else has already claimed it. This handle, or username, becomes your identity, wallet, and payment address all in one within the BCH ecosystem. Not separate things, but one single thing. ### Wallet is created automatically The whole process is automatically done using smart contracts powered by CashTokens. You don’t go through steps like creating a wallet, backing up a seed, or copying an address. The moment a user claims their handle, pays or gets the fee sponsored, a wallet is created for them and the keys are generated on their side (they live on the user’s device). So, the user owns their handle — not BQuest. The platform is non-custodial. ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!_z2g!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2Fd05639a2-a079-44f7-93f1-aaa61150febc_720x445.jpeg) ### You don’t start empty (this is the trick) Normally, when you join crypto, you have zero in your account and you get stuck. But with BQuest, the developers made the model very smart. Here, you can use an invite link from an influencer or project that has already funded a pool. When this happens, the user instantly receives some Bitcoin Cash after completing the steps on the platform. And this matters a lot because the user feels BCH in their wallet immediately, no matter how small the amount is. ### The “viral engine” Imagine that you are the one inviting people to BQuest. You fund a pool, like 0.01 BCH, share your invite link, and people join through it. Every time someone joins, they get a small BCH reward. A portion goes to the system to prevent abuse, and the rest comes back to your pool. So you are basically paying to grow a real network of users — not bots, but real people. What makes this different (this is the real insight) BQuest is not just a wallet, a faucet, or just usernames. It is a growth machine for Bitcoin Cash adoption. ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!We-9!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F57b08f71-8a76-4cd1-8c9d-5641adff45f6_720x1175.jpeg) ### The “handle” is the key innovation Let me explain this simply: the user handle is their username, their wallet address, their receiving identity, and their onboarding link — all combined. So instead of: `Send BCH to: bitcoincash:qxyz...` It becomes: `Send to: @alberdioni8406` And that’s a HUGE shift. ### Important to understand BQuest is non-custodial, which means the user controls their keys and must secure them offline. The people behind the app cannot access or control user funds. If a user loses their keys, they also lose access to the funds in that wallet. While their username can still be recovered, the keys — once lost — mean the funds are gone. So it’s important to store the seed phrase in a safe offline place where it can be accessed. Remember: those keys are your money. I’m building a transport business, **CHAPA BCH Moçambique**, and I can use this platform to receive BCH. Instead of using long addresses, I can assign handles to my drivers like: **driver1, driver2,** etc., and customers can simply send BCH to those handles. This can go even further. I can fund a pool, onboard new users in Matola, and give them their first Bitcoin Cash instantly. This is one way to grow adoption FAST. **BQuest **is a real takeaway, not hype. The platform is turning identity into money in the simplest way possible. You just claim your name and start receiving money instantly. This model fits perfectly for Africa, WhatsApp culture, the creator economy, and especially my BCH mission here in Mozambique — depending on execution, trust, and simplicity. This is a powerful BCH onboarding platform that can be used in many ways to bring people into the Bitcoin Cash ecosystem. Try it today. If you loved this piece, you can send me BCH or CashTokens to my handle **@alberdioni8406** as support so I can keep writing. If you’re not on **BQuest **yet, don’t worry — here’s also my long address: bitcoincash:qprkf2ayptx8e2rjs3n046x9k0l7493zhqv0k4p9sq

From Celebration to Collision: How One Call Changed Everything — But Not My Mission

May 1st began as a perfect day — a holiday, a celebration, and the day of our fourth Bitcoin Cash meetup. It was meant to be one of our best moments yet, bringing together the spirit of International Workers’ Day with a growing community of Bitcoin Cash enthusiasts. I set out with pride. Banner in the car, cashstamps ready for distribution, and a smile that only someone building something meaningful can understand — like a father watching his vision come to life. When I arrived, everything came together beautifully. We decorated the space with an African touch, making sure the setting matched the significance of the moment. People started arriving, energy was high, and we even took a group photo to mark the occasion. > This was the energy of our fourth meetup… ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!r2zz!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F0c2309cd-d791-468d-b876-7801739546fa_4160x3120.jpeg) ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!yIV8!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2Fcbf86da9-bba5-48d8-96a4-ce392de4755c_4160x3120.jpeg) ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!YY0m!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2Fcdd1af36-c4f2-4128-a94f-4e5073c743b8_4160x1872.jpeg) Everything was going perfectly. Then I got a call. A call I now refer to as “the call of destiny.” The kind of call that changes everything in an instant — turning joy into misfortune. I was asked to pick up a few participants coming from Maputo who were stranded at a stop in Matola and didn’t know how to reach the event location. Without hesitation, I went. Misfortune doesn’t knock. It doesn’t warn you. It doesn’t care about timing or reason — it just happens. I took the same road I always use, one I know very well. I was driving at around 40–60 km/h when suddenly, out of nowhere, a car appeared at high speed — driving in the wrong lane, straight toward me. In an attempt to avoid a direct collision, I swerved off the road. And then it happened. I crashed into a wall. By some miracle, I walked away with only minor scratches and psychological shock. But the vehicle — my CHAPA — suffered severe front-end damage. The wall I hit was heavily damaged too. > Minutes later… everything changed. ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!nriC!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2Ff5f45dcb-d71c-4e06-8e08-0fe1d70875ed_4160x1872.jpeg) ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!0kOW!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F44e48f99-f6c1-445c-978b-9b2a5da1cdcf_4160x1872.jpeg) ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!NcOI!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F503eb30d-ae8c-478e-9aac-dac51f50addf_4160x1872.jpeg) And the person who caused it? They didn’t stop. They disappeared — leaving me alone to face everything. What followed was a difficult and complex situation. I had to deal directly with the property owners, and the vehicle was temporarily held while the necessary procedures were completed. The vehicle was later taken to the police yard, where I went through the required administrative steps, payments, and processes to resolve the matter. On May 4th, I was able to retrieve the vehicle after completing the formal requirements and settlement. At this stage, my focus shifted to stabilizing operations and reorganizing the next steps. The CHAPA income that supported both my monthly Bitcoin Cash conversions and meetup funding was impacted, along with the operational budget for upcoming activities. The vehicle will now require repairs estimated at around 70,000 meticais (~2 BCH), including parts and labor. This has temporarily slowed progress, but the direction of the project remains unchanged. Earlier this year, we had already begun rebuilding momentum through meetups, onboarding, and local Bitcoin Cash adoption efforts in Mozambique — and that work continues. Despite this setback, the mission remains active: expanding real-world BCH usage and building sustainable adoption on the ground. Because despite everything — I’m not stopping. I may slow down. I may rebuild from the ground up. I'm hurt, yes. But I'm not finished. I will not quit. Not now. Not ever. We keep building. > [Here](https://bch-mobile-billboard.vercel.app) you can find the BCH mobile billboard campaign to restore the car.

Storms, Loss, and Purpose: Why I Will Never Stop Advocating Bitcoin Cash in Mozambique

> The universe tested me with loss, storms, and pain — but instead of stopping, it reminded me why my mission to build Bitcoin Cash in Mozambique matters more than ever. **The universe speaks to us in many different ways**, and through them it tries to explain many things with just a few blows — some of luck, others of misfortune. Yet human beings are so confused that we either fail to understand or simply refuse to listen to what it is trying to tell us. I am one of those people too, because many times it speaks to me, but I do not have the wisdom to listen, and I keep wanting to live like a wandering soul drifting through the world. Last year the universe spoke to me, and together we had success. It gave me a gift with a purpose: **to make more people aware of BCH and use it to make payments without having to reach into central wallets or pockets**. I was excited about the idea — and I still am, because of the work that already exists. a). **1st BCH Meetup| Matola Photos (more on **[**my X account**](https://x.com/@alberdioni8406_)**)** ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!RETv!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F593b0acc-b51e-42c8-8cdd-4f10e1f0d061_4160x3120.jpeg) ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!bMnd!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F53508f54-dbdb-447c-a59d-9560c6ba2470_4160x3120.jpeg) ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!4n6M!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2Fb177d5e7-734a-4b33-9235-f4b6a940acb8_3120x4160.jpeg) ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!4aPX!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F155c199b-4a2f-4f8c-858c-2815d080a7a8_4160x3120.jpeg) ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!YS4_!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F20848cb3-7694-443f-baa6-ccd7a0088779_1600x1200.jpeg) ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!bQZ4!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F6628e509-ee0a-4488-a848-5d88dc0b4eac_1600x1200.jpeg) But this same universe has clear ways of communicating, and it tested me right at the beginning of 2026. Along with the new year came the physical loss of my uncles. Both passed away one after the other, almost as if one was saying to the other, “you are not leaving without me.” Discouragement took hold of me. As if that were not enough, the sky opened and persistent rains fell over Maputo and Matola, flooding everything and destroying whatever stood in their path. The days were filled with grief and pain as people lost everything or nearly everything, and many families are still living in temporary shelters. I was fortunate, however — I still live under my own roof. Even before the floods, I managed to organize a gathering — the first one where we spoke about BCH and how it could change my life and the lives of everyone willing to learn about it. It was explosive. People who had never heard about cryptocurrency before were thirsty to learn. A second gathering was scheduled. After holding the **first one on December 20, we held another on February 21.** Once again it was a huge success. Many young people joined, we talked a lot, and I taught everything I know — yet it still was not enough, because time was short and it was almost impossible for them to digest everything at once. b). **2nd BCH Meetup | Matola Photos (more on **[**my X account**](https://x.com/@alberdioni8406_)**)** ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!BYmJ!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F64624e16-bede-4bb9-a1fb-3d6c0593cd07_4160x3120.jpeg) ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!DZ4a!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F005b0cc9-cb74-476f-89f7-fcaf85924e96_4160x3120.jpeg) ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!i5Il!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2Ffcf1318b-450f-44d8-aacd-9ad09dd0f115_3120x4160.jpeg) ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!DR3Q!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F1a46c6fb-3e23-46eb-835f-bf9fb18822d1_4160x3120.jpeg) ![](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!dEN9!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F61ee33f0-ebac-41aa-b64b-83e4a6660fce_4160x3120.jpeg) We took a breath, and I decided the third Meetup would be on **March 28**. Once again, we are on our way to it. I am excited about this new gathering, but between life’s pauses, silences, and struggles, another catastrophe struck my home: I lost a loved one. A promising young man in the prime of his life taken from us by an accident that never chooses the hour or the day — it simply happens. Tears were shed and I felt devastated. But because I have a universal family and angels watching over me, they came and cleared the dust, and with powerful voices they said: “Do not worry. Mourn your brother. Whatever you need, we are here.” That was one of the strongest forces that helped me stand up again. Among so many misfortunes, I managed to rise again. Today I have the strength to start over from where I stopped and continue fighting so that my on-the-ground work never stops, and more people can become part of a family that values a universal decentralized economy and speaks in unison so everyone knows they have a choice. **c).
