My Crypto Journey: From a Complete Newbie to Finding My Place with Bitcoin Cash
My crypto journey began during the COVID-19 pandemic. Like many people, I found myself spending more time online, exploring new opportunities and learning about things I had never considered before. That's when I discovered cryptocurrency.
At first, I knew absolutely nothing about it. Terms like blockchain, wallets, and digital assets sounded confusing, but my curiosity kept growing. I wanted to understand why so many people believed crypto would play a big role in the future.
The very first crypto wallet I created was Coins.ph, a local crypto wallet here in the Philippines. Creating that wallet was my first real step into the crypto world. I didn't know much, but I was excited to learn.
Over time, I read articles, watched videos, and joined online communities. Little by little, I started understanding that cryptocurrency wasn't just about trading or making profits—it was also about innovation, financial freedom, and giving people more control over their money.
Like every beginner, I made mistakes and had moments when everything felt overwhelming. But each challenge became a lesson, and every lesson helped me grow.
As I explored different blockchain projects, one cryptocurrency caught my attention—Bitcoin Cash (BCH).
What impressed me most was its goal of becoming peer-to-peer electronic cash for everyday use. Fast transactions and low fees showed me that cryptocurrency could be practical, not just something to hold as an investment. It made me appreciate the real-world value that blockchain technology can offer.
However, in 2024, I had to step away from crypto completely. Life brought new priorities, and I was going through a difficult time. As much as I wanted to continue learning, I had to focus on what mattered most at that moment. Sometimes, taking a break is necessary, and that's exactly what I did.
This year, I decided to return to the crypto space with a fresh mindset. Coming back feels exciting because so much has changed. New technologies, stronger communities, and more opportunities have emerged. While I still have a lot to learn, I'm more motivated than ever to continue my journey.
Looking back, it's amazing to see how far I've come—from someone who knew nothing about cryptocurrency to someone who understands its fundamentals and continues to grow every day.
My journey has taught me that learning never stops. There may be pauses, setbacks, and unexpected challenges, but your passion can always bring you back.
As I continue exploring blockchain, Web3, and especially Bitcoin Cash, I'm excited for what's ahead. This is not the end of my story—it's a brand-new chapter, and I'm looking forward to everything the future has in store.
